Positive: Wonderful hosts, gorgeous gardens. The view from up high was amazing-very picturesque and you could see why Van Gogh painted here. A nice walk from here to town and the museums and sights.

Positive: It was like a nature oasis/shangrila at the end of the main road. We had one of the best dinners that we had in France just a few blocks away. The owner was so kind and accommodating. They helped us make a reservation and allowed us to leave our bags for the day until we took a train on the early evening. It was so totally dreamy.

Summary: Our time in Auver sur oise was the highlight of our trip. This stay was totally dreamy!

Positive: A beautiful home nestled in a forest just a couple of miles from Van Gogh's haunts in Auvers. Home was very comfortable with a spacious bedroom. Catherine and Bertrand were lovely hosts. Catherine got us a reservation at an excellent restaurant and was friendly, while also giving us space. They do have a dog and a couple of cats. For us, this only added to the charm. I should say, I'm allergic to cats but did not have my usual allergic reaction, likely a tribute to the cleanliness of our room and the overall home.

Positive: Our stay at La Cherielle made us want to move to Auvers-sur-Oise. Communication was easy with the hosts (in French and in English), and they were extremely accommodating to our arrival time and needs. For instance, my partner is a cyclist and we were able to store his bike in their shed. We loved the fact that we were able to enjoy the entire estate and come and go as we pleased. The hosts made themselves readily available, without feeling like they were hovering. A couple of stand-out aspects: the view from the bedroom, all of the wild birds in the yard, their cat and dog, and a delicious fresh-made breakfast every morning.

Negative: I can't think of a single thing we didn't like to be honest.

Summary: It was a charming stay that felt like living a French country-side dream.

Positive: Fantastic view, comfortable accompdation. Hosts were very helpful with instruktions - both of how to get there, and how to get to places of interest around - and were very flexible.

Negative: One should be aware that there are dogs and cats in the house. We liked it a lot - but I would have liked to know this beforehand (our son is allergic to cats and it would have been a problem if he would come with us).

Positive: Our Hosts are extremely lovely and charming. We do feel like a part of the family here. Wonderful place, amazing space, and the Van Gogh's aura is everywhere. Perfect place for rest or holiday. My wife and I love this place and we do everything to rest here every year. And the next year :) Thank you so much for having us, treating as a part of family, we are absolutely delighted - most of it is written by Marta :) But Thomas would say the same :)
